Member Salute
REVISED 7/16/2026
The official greeting of Hotline 195 is the Hotline Salute.
Members shall extend their thumb and pinky in the classic “call me” gesture, holding it to the ear as if answering a corded telephone.
The Hotline Salute is presented during the Member Oath and should also be exchanged whenever two Hotline 195 members recognize one another.
Member Oath
On my honor, I will do my best
to faithfully fulfill my duties
and uphold the values and rules of Hotline 195.
I vow to respect every caller,
to welcome every member,
to participate with enthusiasm,

Above all else, may I never forget that the cords are what keep us connected.
